The Fiat Initiative is an outreach of Mary and Elizabeth in partnership with the Diocese of Memphis to provide awareness, encounter, and accompaniment to women discerning consecrated life in the Church, particularly to discerning women within the Diocese .
Our vocational accompaniment team work in ecclesial mission serving discerning women to provide resources and accompaniment to aid their discernment of a divine call to religious and consecrated life.
This outreach is housed under Mary and Elizabeth, a non profit committed to the interior renewal of women. It partners with the Diocese of Memphis and Friends of the Bridegroom.

“Behold” the Lord and seek His will through a 24-week Discernment Lectio. The prayer exercises are based on themes designed to deepen your awareness and understanding about God’s unique, vocational call for you.
** Commitment Requirements: 30-60 minutes of prayer per day on assigned Scripture Readings and weekly spiritual direction.

Learn more about our outreach for privately and publicly consecrated women that provides ongoing and supplemental formation to renew and encourage the Bride.
Commit to prayer and fasting for female, Consecrated vocations in the Memphis Diocese
Receive a “Friends of the Bridegroom” holy card and join our intercessory team to pray and offer sacrifices for the intention of the renewal of the Bride and that many more women may give a spousal “yes,” to our Lord.
Passionate about the renewal of female Consecrated life?
Join male and female leaders in person and zoom on the third Saturday of the month for a Diocesan-wide Vocations Committee at St. Anne (Highland) which seeks to promote female consecrated life and support the renewal of female religious life.
Persons join from other dioceses - all are welcome!
